Spray Foam Surface Preparation

 

In order for the spray foam to be successfully applied the substrate requires some preparation. The spray foam requires a clean, dry surface that is free of contaminants for a good application. It is often the case that a re-roofing job will involve the removal of some or the entire existing roof in order to leave a clean surface for the spray foam to be applied.

Last 50 Years or More

 

Existing foam insulation systems will need to be cleaned, primed, and recoated every 10-15 years. Providing the structure has been properly maintained, a quality spray foam structure could last up to 50 years or more.
